Day 19 and 20: Your Best Actor and Your Best Actress

Ok. I'm going to have to cheat on both of these because I really have two favorites of each. Now there are tons of actors/actresses that I adore but there's only a select few who I flat out love. The following are the ones that I will watch in nearly any drama. Not to say that I love every drama they've been in but I just love them. =)

Honorable Mentions: Lee Seung-gi, Moon Chae-won, Moon Geun-young, Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Min-ho, Kim Sun-ah, Cha Seung-won, Lee Min-jung, Chun Jung-myung, Jang Geun-suk, Lee Seon-kyun, Uhm Tae-woong, Park Shi-hoo, Lee Min-ki, Song Joong-ki, Jung Il-woo, Lee Dong-wook. Jung So-min

(What? I like a lot of people.)

Lots of awesomeness underneath here!Collapse )

My rewatch continues! Random, spoilery thoughts under the cut.

I love Mong-ryong's face. It is a fact.Collapse )

30 Days of KdramasCollapse )

OK So I know it's been a billion years since I did one of these but...I'm determined! It's been way past 30 days but I want to try and finish this! SO here we go! I'm going to knock out a couple here.

No real spoilers but I vaguely reference various plot points.Collapse )
EDIT: OMG Chun-hyang is wearing GLITTER JEANS in this first episode. I feel like it's the 90s again. Though...didn't this drama come out in like 2000? I don't remember. STILL. Btw, Jae Hee is still the best thing about this drama. I LOVE HIM WHY HAS HE ONLY BEEN IN SUCKY DRAMAS BESIDES THIS ONE?

So singing_tree has been rewatching My Girl and her posts have gotten me wanting to watch it.

And FINALLY I have to give into that itch BUT BUT I decided to watch one of my other favorite dramas as a lead-in to My Girl (which is my absolute favorite drama) and it always gets me in the right mood for it...especially when that mood is warm and fuzzy.

I have SUCH love for the drama under here, =)Collapse )

So, yeah, it's been ages but HERE I AM! I've been feeling the writing bug lately so hopefully a couple more posts are head y'all's way. I've been playing around with the idea of doing a couple posts on drama writers, spotlighting them and whatnot. But we'll see.

SO. SO. Did ya hear the current rumor about the Hong Sisters' next drama? (Forever my bias, by the way). First off, it's going to be inspired partly by the movie Big. Secondly, the main actor is rumored to be Gong Yoo. GONG YOO.

You don't understand. My love for him is almost as much as my love of Kang Ji-hwan. There's only a handful of actors where I will watch HORRIBLE dramas just because they star in them (One Fine Day. Lie to Me. That daily drama Geum-soon). But couple this with the writers of all of my drama crack? WANT WANT WANT.

*sigh* His lady love is rumored to be Lee Min-jung whom I have a gigantic girlcrush on so all is right in dramaland.

Sooo...upcoming dramas that I will be checking out:

Lots of kings under here...Collapse )

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Essential ACTA Resources

  • Read more about ACTA here: ACTA Fact Sheet
  • Read the authentic version of the ACTA text as of 15 April 2011, as finalized by participating countries here: ACTA Finalized Text
  • Follow the history of the treaty’s formation here: ACTA history
  • Read letters from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden wherein he challenges the constitutionality of ACTA: Letter 1 | Letter 2 | Read the Administration’s Response to Wyden’s First Letter here: Response
  • Watch a short informative video on ACTA: ACTA Video

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.

RANDOM THOUGHTS (Up to episode 5 so as River Song would say...Spoilers! Well kinda. I'm not being all that specific on plot details beyond what's already in the synopsis.)

- Uee's eyes are terrifying when she's pissed off. If I hadn't been cheering while she laid the smackdown on wicked stepmother in the supermarket than I would've been cowering a bit. Big eyes are scary, okay?
- You know? I get that this family has lived on this farm for 10 years. I get it the initial anger. But I totally do not get how pissed off they get at Ja-eun. Yeah, she's swoops in chirping about moving dates but...what were you expecting? Instead of shrieking at the poor, penniless, FAMILYLESS college student, why don't you...I don't know bargin? She didn't actually demand that y'all leave right away.
- I am a Ja-eun fangirl to the max. She's a bit spoiled at this point and I think she needs to think a wee bit before she says stuff. But I loves her.
- Joo Won is attractive but currently spends most of his time looking pissed off. His chemistry with Uee is amazing like whoa. I look forward their eventual OTPdom with much happiness. They haven't had much interaction yet but I've seen the gifs and posts so I'm wagging my tail in anticipation. =D
- As someone who graduated with a degree in journalism, Reporter Bro's (Tae-bum?) ethics are pretty sleazy and--oh yeah--totally against the code of ethics that most publications supposedly abide by. Okay, maybe the American journalism standards of ethics but still...it boils my blood a bit. (Is it not illegal to go through investigation notes and use that as a source for an article? Or at least  something that can be sued for?) Though he does amuse me a bit when he's not at work. He's hilarious with his brothers.
- (Though it has to be said--Ryu Soo-young? HOT. REALLY REALLY HOT.)
- Is it weird that I find Big Bro's kind of pervy attention towards Ja-eun kinda hilarious? I cackle every time. (Plus I like that actor. I've seen him in a few things).
- Does Little Bro do anything besides look angry and side with Mom? And have weird hair that vaguely looks like a comb-over? I hope he gets a storyline cause he has made me laugh when he's with his brothers.
- NEEDS MORE HWANG BROTHERS SCENES. Seriously guys, hang out. Just for me? Please?

All in all, it's not bad though I'm still kind of at the point where all the parents are being belligerently angry at Ja-eun for...I don't know...messing with their master plan of squatting on this farm. Because seriously, didja think that family was gonna forget about the property? That made me laugh a bit when Dad kept trying to avoid this. I mean, dude, come on!

On to episode 6! (I am terrible at starting family dramas, lol. Everyone is just so shrieky this early in the game.)
